Yoga with Max Tabak

Max Tabak, also known as MaxxxStar, found solace and transformation through yoga following a spinal cord injury in 2019. Inspired by yoga's profound impact on his rehabilitation journey, Max pursued certification to become a yoga instructor. Certified in Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Meditation, Max offers a diverse range of classes tailored to students' needs. With nearly two years of teaching experience at various studios and gyms, including Yoga in the Park and Sanctuary Yoga and Mindfulness, Max prioritizes alignment, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation in his classes. His teaching philosophy centers on creating inclusive and accessible yoga spaces where students feel valued and empowered.

One of the major intentions that drives our Stonewall Yoga practice is building community. We are excited to bring regular, monthly yoga brunches into this year's calendar. This season, after one of our practices each month, we will venture over to Knock (225 S 12th Street) for brunch and conversation. We hope to see you there!

Yoga with Robbie Crowthers as Heart Chakra Khan
Location: Cockatoo
Part yoga, part performance, all FUN! Led by instructor and drag artist, Heart Chakra khan (Chakra) participants will be guided in a light vinyasa flow with modifications. With an electric opening performance from Chakra, students will begin the sequence of sun salutations, warrior series to modified igniting backbends; all culminating in a restorative cool down. The forty five minute class is designed for everyBODY, every skill level; combining an uptempo playlist full of LGBTQIA classics with the camp and wit of comedy drag artists. Participants are encouraged to dress/express authentically.
